FCV Academy have a new assessment centre in Lagos being run through our Nigerian partner Dynaspro Academy.
FCV Academy’s partnership with Dynaspro began back in 2011 and since then numerous Nigerian students have attended the academy for summer camps, short courses and on a full-time basis.
The new assessment centre will allow potential students wishing to join FCV Academy’s full-time programme, the opportunity to be assessed in Nigeria, giving them an alternative if they are unable to attend a taster day and assessment in the UK.
FCV Academy Director Martin Harris believes the introduction of the new assessment centre will open up the opportunity for more players to attend the academy.
“Due to school commitments, it can be difficult for a player to travel to the UK to be assessed in the timescale required to join our full-time programme.
Players will now have the opportunity to do so in Lagos, which provides some of them with a more convenient way to be assessed. We hope this will make FCV Academy accessible to a greater number of talented young players.”
The introduction of a new assessment centre in Nigeria follows several successful events in the region alongside Dynaspro. In April 2019 FCV Academy delivered Gladiator Soccer Camps in both Lagos and Abuja which were a great success. A number of Dynaspro coaches have also spent time with FCV Academy in the UK on mentoring programmes at our base in Stamford.
