At FCV International Football Academy, we offer higher education programmes tailored for students who are passionate about both football and academics. In partnership with Loughborough College and University, our football degree in England options combine excellent education with elite football training. This means that students can level up their game while also pursuing useful degrees that can build a career in the industry, such as Sport Management, Applied Sport Science and Sports Coaching. Having a balance of top-tier learning with world-class coaching and playing for FCV’s under-23 team allows students to be fully prepared for a future career both on and off the pitch.
Our enrolment for our football university degree takes place every September and gives students the chance to start their journey to academic and athletic success at the start of the academic year. Students can develop and grow their talent while also building their academic skills to create a pathway to their dream sports career.
A massive part of our football degree with elite football training in England is the professional-level training we provide. Students get the opportunity to train for up to 15 hours a week to work on their talents and prepare for a future in football. We have UEFA-qualified coaches who give young talent valuable insights and knowledge that help to progress their skills on the pitch. During these training sessions, students will focus on their technical skills, tactical awareness and physical conditioning skills to help them advance in our academy teams or even professionally.
As well as this, we have regular league fixtures on Wednesdays that allow students to put what they’ve learnt each week to the test in a competitive match. These are against other top academy teams that give students the chance to be a part of a match that runs like a professional game, providing them with experience while also being a chance for exposure for their talent. Beyond our elite training, our academy offers direct pathways for player development to let talent progress from our under-23 team to our FCV Grace Dieu Semi-Professional Men’s team or even partake in professional football trials. Whether you’re looking to advance to higher-tier academy teams or secure professional contracts, our pathways make sure that every player can make the most out of their experience to improve their potential in both their football skills and degree studies.
As for the education part of our programme, we’ve partnered with Loughborough College and University to provide exceptional academic studies. Loughborough University has an excellent reputation for producing elite athletes, such as professional footballers and Olympians. It also has a unique environment where students can have the chance to excel in their chosen sports while still receiving an outstanding education. Our Loughborough partnered football degree ensures that every student is fully equipped for success in their sports careers and educational studies.

FCV’s Admissions Team, in partnership with Loughborough College’s Admissions Team, provides support and guidance for all players and families throughout the student visa application process with our football university degree.
At the end of the process, students will receive a CAS Statement (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies), which allows international students to study in the UK. The CAS Statements will be issued by Loughborough College once the following processes have been completed (FCV Admissions will provide support for families in this process).
