On Wednesday 1st December FCV took a break from the usual training routine with a visit to the brand-new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Following on from the narrow defeat in the challenge cup on the Tuesday the FCV boys took the trip down to London. It was a welcome break and a great opportunity to see behind the scenes at the state of the art stadium.
The tour provided an insight into what life’s like on a Matchday for the world’s best athletes from the Premier League and NFL. Archie Wallace said “I’m really glad we went and got to see what the stadium was like and the effort that goes into every matchday.”
The students weren’t the only ones impressed with the world class facilities. Academy coach Shane Clark gave us his take on the stadium, “It was a fantastic experience for the group to go and see a newly developed stadium. To take a behind the scenes look into the how premier league footballers and clubs operate. The lads also had the chance to shop and eat together in London. The togetherness and team bonding are what FCV is about.”
The whole day was a great success and there are plans for more trips in the coming months.
