Pitsford School has become the new academic partner to deliver the BTEC Sports Studies for the Academy’s International students.

Pitsford School

Pitsford School is one of Northamptonshire’s leading independent schools. Set in 30 beautiful acres in the lovely Northamptonshire village of Pitsford, and boasting state-of-the-art buildings surrounded by green open space, the school is the perfect environment for ambitious students.

The school draws on the best Grammar school traditions, building upon them with the most valuable new developments in education. Pitsford has a wide curriculum, offering GCSE, A level as well as BTEC, ensuring that its students are stretched and their ambitions are nurtured and realised.

The partnership comes at an exciting time for FCV Academy following the announcement of other recent partnerships with Loughborough College (for Higher Education students), Capelli Sport, Asya, UK Football Trials and the League Managers Association.

Graham Starmer, FCV Academy Managing Director, said: “The nature of private schools means the FCV students will receive a higher standard of teaching and a true ‘English public school experience’ whilst keeping our fees the same. We also believe the student experience will be enhanced with travel time reduced and with the school providing a dedicated ‘international admissions’ office just for FCV students ensuring the process of Visa applications is even smoother.”

Dr Craig Walker, Pitsford School Headmaster, said “I am delighted to welcome the FCV International Football Academy students to our school. This is a very exciting relationship as it will combine the best of both of our worlds: FCV’s first-class coaching and sports training and Pitsford School’s outstanding academic and pastoral education. These are very exciting times, and I look forward to welcoming FCV’s students into my school.”

The academic partnership with Pitsford School commences in September 2021 to deliver the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development. Loughborough College will continue to deliver degree courses for all the Academy’s students.
