Williams strikes late to earn FCV a point

FCV left it late to grab a point against Lincoln College in a 2-2 draw in the English Colleges League at Borderville.
Both sides had early opportunities to break the deadlock, but it was FCV who struck first when Rudolf Blagogee charged into the penalty area and hammered home.
Grant Brown’s side couldn’t hold that advantage for long though, and Lincoln levelled the game almost immediately to send the sides into half-time at 1-1.
The hosts emerged after the break and started well with Khalid Rahim going close to restoring his pre-Christmas form, but November's Player of the Month was denied by the crossbar after good work from T’ai Williams.

The visitors then took the lead against the run of play and FCV were left chasing the game heading into the closing stages.
The Academy created numerous chances but were continually denied by fine defending and an in-form goalkeeper.
However, the equaliser finally came just a minute from time – Williams pounced inside the area and finished well to earn a point and make it an unbeaten day for the Academy after a 3-2 win over Ilkeston in the National League U19 Alliance earlier in the day.
