First year student Milai Perott has been called up to represent the Bermuda U20 national team. Milai will be leaving Stamford for two weeks in November allowing him to join his team mates ahead of four fixtures which will be played at the Olimpico Felix Sanchez stadium in the Dominican Republic.
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football U20 qualifiers will see Bermuda compete for a chance to play in the Concacaf tournament in 2022. Bermuda will kick off their campaign against Montserrat in Group C on Saturday 6th November.
Milai gave us his initial thought when he received the news “I was excited and honoured to be called up to the U20 national team.”
Milai only joined the academy in September but has found it easy to adjust to life at the academy saying “FCV has been great, it’s helped me a lot with my football and helped me grow as a person.”
The preparations for Milai have already begun as he has made 6 appearances for FCV this season. “The intense training and all of the matches have helped me a lot.” Milai is still looking to feature in upcoming fixtures for FCV before flying out to meet his teammates in November.
