Khalid Rahim claims the FCV Player of the Month award for November
Kenyan striker Khalid Rahim has been rewarded for his red-hot scoring form by being named FCV Academy’s Player of the Month for November 2016.
Rahim found the net 10 times last month, and even scored four in a match on two separate occasions, which was enough to impress coaches Grant Brown and Ben Watts.
The frontman joined FCV in the summer and is currently going through his first experience of a British winter, but the cold that he endured didn’t seem to faze him.

“Myself and Ben [Watts] both think he has really excelled over the past month,” explained Academy Manager Brown.
“He’s been excellent. He works hard in training and in games and always takes on the information and feedback you’re giving him.
"He’s forever asking us questions on the training pitch on how he can get better and what he needs to do. He’s got a very good attitude towards the game, and reaching his potential.
“It’s a shame that he’s only eligible for the English Colleges League, but he excels when he’s given the opportunity and has certainly found some form during November.”
The next challenge for Rahim comes on Wednesday against last week’s opponents Grantham Town, one of the sides in which he notched four goals against.
