After a successful trip last year, FCV Academy are excited to be returning to Zimbabwe, where head coach Grant Brown will again be sharing his knowledge with players and coaches alike.

FCV Academy will be delivering a training camp in the capital city of Harare, with the intention of giving two stand-out individuals a place at our summer camp between July and August.

“It’s a great place to go to; I was looked after ever so well last time,” reflected Brown. “There is some good talent over there.

“In their culture, they are eager to learn. Part of my role is not just to develop the players but to advance the coaches as well, so I still keep in touch with them.

“I know they have been practicing the things that I’ve shared with them last time and I expect to see further improvement in the sessions that they run and hopefully, those who we invite back over for the camp will enjoy it and want to join the Academy programme full-time.

“Last year, the numbers were very good; there were a lot of players on the football pitch, but we managed them well and the boys enjoyed every session and got something out of them.”
