FCV Academy defeated away at Nuneaton Town

FCV Academy’s National League Alliance U19 campaign came to a disappointing close with a 4-2 defeat away at Nuneaton Town.
Grant Brown’s side started strongly, though. Some fine interplay between Sven Hart and T’ai Williams results in the latter slotting home beyond the opposition goalkeeper.
The homeside fought back immediately, but were constantly denied by Charley Giffen in the FCV goal. He was finally beaten on 35 minutes, and the hosts were level.
Then, on the stroke of half-time Nuneaton converted a penalty to give them a 2-1 lead at the break.
Once again, FCV were quickest out of the traps and levelled the scores almost immediately after the break. Hart and Williams again linked up well, and this time provided Josh Buys with the goal, 2-2.
A goal from the visitors once again caused a reaction from their hosts, and two quick goals took the game away from FCV.
The match finished 4-2 leaving the Academy fourth at the end of their National League Alliance U19 campaign.
