FCV Academy announces expansion plans to meet growing demand
FCV International Football Academy has secured further student accommodation for players attending our popular full-time courses.
There has been an increase in numbers over the previous 18 months at FCV Academy, reaching capacity levels at the turn of the last year. As a solution to meet the growing demand, we have acquired two further boarding houses and increased the capacity by 28 per cent.
This will allow room for more players to join the full-time course, commencing in September and January, or short course during the season.
Plans are also under way to support the development of another full-size match pitch and training area at Borderville Sports Complex.
Graham Starmer, FCV Academy managing director, said: “For the last two years we have been working with an increasing number of overseas partners and these international relationships have been very successful in providing local players with a taste of the top quality coaching we deliver in the UK.
“Whilst we have regularly had a pool of players from western Europe, Oceania, North America and west Africa studying with us, we have been delighted to have an increase in players from South America, eastern Europe, south Asia and south-east Asia come to experience life at FCV Academy.
“The introduction of more academic options, including opportunities to study for A Levels or for a foundation degree, coupled with the pathways we can provide our students have helped increase our profile on the international stage and led to an increase in growth.
“This is something we anticipate will accelerate further in the coming years as we link up with more partners around the world.”
