Throughout July, FCV International Football Academy are welcoming Ertheo students from across Europe for two bespoke summer camps.

With their educational background, Ertheo have previously linked up with the best football clubs across Europe to give students the opportunity to combine their studies with football.

Their partnership with FCV Academy began last summer – the first and only private academy connected to Ertheo – running football-focussed sessions alongside English Language. Following its success, three students signed up on full-time Academy courses.

This year, a total of 50 students, aged between 12 and 19, are visiting Borderville across two 14-day camps. The chance to take a Sports Leadership Award instead of English Language is an exciting new addition, as well as a cultural excursion.

It is a promising partnership that has generated a lot of anticipation from both parties.

“It works extremely well,” explained Graham Starmer, FCV Academy’s managing director. “Whilst we are the football experts, Ertheo are very well established with a great database of students who want to come to the UK to study and play their football.

“They understand how popularity of providing English language and sports leadership with football.

“We hope the relationship will really blossom with more students coming from the Mediterranean countries to join us full-time. They clearly like being led by our UEFA A licensed coaches, who have a lot of experience.”

Meanwhile, the founder and director of Ertheo, Christian Samuelson, has been committed to providing European children with quality experiences to grow and develop for over 15 years and is just as excited about the growing partnership.

“We are delighted to be working with FCV International Football Academy again,” he added.

“We hope many of our campers join one of the full-time course options. From September 2019, they will have two further academic options – distance learning through an online American High School or a French elementary/high school.

“The additions to this year’s camps have been very well received and we look forward to hopefully working together for many years.”

FCV Academy’s next Development Camp will run for a week from 11th – 18th August. As part of this Summer Camp former Nigerian International Peter Odemwingie will be giving a talk and will run a training session with the boys on the 14th August.
